Ferryhill Town Council recently invited residents to take part in a community survey aimed at identifying options for the future regeneration of the King George V Playing Field, known locally as the Broom Rec. in Ferryhill.

The results of the survey, which closed on 1^st May 2026 will assist the Town Council in securing grant funding to be able to drive forward a series of improvements to the Playing Field, which has seen little investment in recent years.
