Ferryhill Town Council Secures Funding to Replace Play Equipment at Carlton Street
Thanks to funding secured through the Towns & Villages Fund totalling £18,800, Ferryhill Town Council will be able to replace the old play equipment at Carlton Street in Ferryhill Station. The equipment, which has been in situ for over 20 years has suffered badly through the passage of time and is now in a dreadful condition. Children in the local area have been consulted on the plans and have voted for their preferred type of facility.
The Town Council would like to say a huge thank you to the 4Together Partnership who manage the Towns & Villages Fund for contributing monies to enable this project to be brought to fruition.
Mayor, Councillor Curtis Bihari said ‘Ferryhill Town Council is thrilled that it has been successful in securing the funds required to replace the worn and outdated play equipment at Carlton Street with new and modern equipment, for the benefit of local children. A big thank you to the 4Together Partnership and its Towns and Villages Fund for contributing the monies so desperately needed to enable this project to be delivered.’
