Ferryhill Town Council presents Members Initiative Fund Cheque to Ferryhill Miners Utd Football Club
Ferryhill Miners Utd have become the latest group to benefit through Ferryhill Town Council’s Members Initiative Fund. Launched in April 2022, the Fund has now seen a total of £11,500 being donated to support local projects and initiatives.
In a cheque presentation held at Ferryhill Sports & Education Centre, Councillors Carole and Peter Atkinson, Joe Quinn and Christine Woods presented a cheque for £775 to Members of Ferryhill Miners Utd FC. Funds will be used to equip all team members with a new sports bag, in team colours.
Councillors funding the project said ‘We are delighted to be able to support Ferryhill Miners Utd Football Club. By contributing monies from our MIF allocations, we are thrilled that all team members have been able to be provided with a club sports bag each’.
