Tickets to go on Sale for Ferryhill’s Annual Senior Citizens Trip
Tickets for the Ferryhill Senior Citizens Trip, organised by Ferryhill Town Council will go on sale on Tuesday 24th June 2025. This year, the trip will take place on Thursday 24th July 2025. The destination for the trip will be Whitley Bay. Whitley Bay was chosen when the results of a questionnaire completed by people attending the 2024 bus trip demonstrated a preference to visit the seaside town in 2025.
Ferryhill Town Council would like to say a big thank you to Supportive SRC Ltd. and to Ferryhill Community Sport & Social Club for contributing £200 each towards the cost of the coaches for the trip. Other funding has been sought from the Neighbourhood Budget from Durham County Councillors Paul Mountford and Joe Quinn.
Residents wanting to attend the trip are invited to pick up tickets from Ferryhill Town Hall from 10.00am on Tuesday 24th June 2025. Tickets will be made available to residents at a cost of £10.00 per ticket. This will be a flat rate for adults and children.
Coaches for the trip will meet in Ferryhill Market Place from 9.30am and will leave for Whitley Bay at 10am. Tickets must be shown prior to boarding the buses.
Coaches will leave Whitley Bay for the return journey to Ferryhill at 5.00pm and will drop off at various points on the main bus route around the Town.
It is expected that tickets will sell out very quickly for this trip, which will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
