Ferryhill Town Council Secures a new tenant for it’s Town Centre Kiosk
Following a successful advertising campaign to advertise its Town Centre Kiosks, Ferryhill Town Council has been successful and have a new business on board.
Shell’s Village Bakery, who already have a successful business within Ferryhill were keen to extend their existing business and Marcus Windress who works alongside his wife, has taken up a lease from the Town Council to rent Kiosk 1 within the Town Centre.
Marcus intends to use the Kiosk to serve arrange of hot food and hot and cold drinks and hopes to follow the success of the shop he runs alongside his wife.
Shells Village Bakery has been very successful since they opened their bakery in Ferryhill in 2020 and they have recently been voted The Northern Echo’s Best Bakery of 2025 as voted for by readers.
Leeanne Owens, Town Clerk for Ferryhill Town Council said “I am excited to have the business on board within one of our Town Centre Kiosks, and I am very confident that the business will thrive in the Kiosk, like they do in their shop. It is lovely to help businesses and see them thrive and I am pleased that we have been able to support the business with the space we have available.
