Charity Night Raises Funds for Mayor’s Charities
The Mayor of Ferryhill, Councillor Angus Ferguson was delighted to host a charity night at Ferryhill WMC on Saturday 22nd November with local band RIO as the headline act. Angus said: “it was a privilege to have so many Ferryhill folk attend and have such a great time enjoying not just RIO, but the bingo and the raffle. The generosity of the audience raised over £300 from the raffle and ticket sales for my charities Little Treasures Autism Charity and Stray Aid.
The Mayor would also like to thank the staff of Ferryhill WMC for hosting the event and for their hard work on the night. Also, thanks go to RIO for such an enjoyable and professional performance. Last but not least, sincere gratitude goes to the Mayors of Gateshead, Shildon and Great Aycliffe and the Deputy Mayor of Stockton and their consorts for their support and generosity, but especially Liz Maddison, Mayor of Spennymoor for drawing the raffle tickets with such elegance and tolerance. A great night.
