Mayor of Ferryhill to Support Two Local Charities
At the Annual Council Meeting held on Thursday 22nd May, Councillor Angus Ferguson was elected to serve as Mayor of Ferryhill for the municipal year 2025/26.
Each year the elected Mayor chooses a charity or a number of charities to raise funds for and after careful consideration, this year the Mayor has chosen to support Little Treasures Autism Charity and Stray Aid.
Councillor Ferguson said “I wanted to support local charities and we have so many excellent groups in Ferryhill, that previous Mayors have supported over the years, and it was very difficult to narrow it down, I hope the local community get behind my fund raising efforts to raise as much money as possible for Little Treasures and Stray Aid over the next year”.
Fundraising events will be held throughout the year to raise funds for the two charities, these will be advertised in the local papers, on noticeboards around Town, on Ferryhill Town Council’s website and Facebook page.
