Ferryhill Town Council present Members Initiative Fund Cheque to Land of Adventures CIC
Ferryhill Town Council is pleased to announce that the latest group to receive funding through its Members Initiative Fund is Land of Adventures CIC, who were recently visited by Mayor, Councillor Carole Atkinson, at their base in Ferryhill Sports and Education Centre (FSEC), to present the organisation with a cheque on behalf of herself and Councillor Peter Atkinson for £500 (£250 each) from their individual Members Initiative Fund allocations.
Land of Adventures was newly established in September 2023 offering affordable classes for children aged 0 – 4 years including baby massage, yoga, messy play and a playgroup, as well as organising events for children aged 0 – 7 years. Funding awarded through the Members Initiative Fund will be used to enable the CIC to make improvements to the garden area at FSEC, to enable it to be used in the summer months by children and parents attending sessions.
Councillor Atkinson said ‘Both Peter and I are delighted to be able to support such a worthwhile organisation. Land of Adventures have introduced a fantastic facility in the Town, which will be of great benefit to families with young children. We wish them every success for the future.’
