Ferryhill Town Council Contributes £1,000 funding for Community Defibrillator at Ferryhill Sports & Education Centre
Ferryhill Town Council is pleased to announce that the latest group to receive funding through its Members Initiative Fund is Ferryhill Community Partnership. Representatives from the organisation, Paula Bihari and Collette Trimmer recently attended a cheque presentation at Ferryhill Town Hall, where Councillors Vicky Collins, Bernie Lamb and Christine Woods presented them with a cheque for £1,000 from their Members Initiative Fund allocations. Funds donated through the Scheme will be used to enable a community defibrillator to be installed in an easily accessible location, outside of Ferryhill Sports & Education Centre, so that it can be of benefit to the whole community.
Councillors Collins, Lamb and Woods said, ‘We are delighted to be able to support such a worthwhile project, which will ensure that a life-saving defibrillator can be installed and made fully accessible by the community, in the event of a medical emergency.’
