Having launched its Members Initiative Fund (MIF) in April 2022, Ferryhill Town Council is pleased to announce that it has been able to support eighteen local groups and twenty-three projects through the scheme. The latest group to receive funding is the Ferryhill Unique Ninjas Youth Group, which is run by Derek Bradley of Deaf Hill Ward Regeneration Partnership, who recently attended a presentation at Ferryhill Town Hall where Councillor Robyn Hume presented representatives of the youth group with a cheque for £450 from her MIF Allocation. Funding will be used to enable the group to organise weekly youth sessions complete with food at Dean Bank & Ferryhill Literary Institute.
Councillor Hume said “I am delighted to be able to support the Ferryhill Unique Ninjas. Contributing monies from my MIF allocation will enable the group to secure the premises they need to hold regular youth sessions, covering the cost of room hire for the foreseeable future.”
