Ferryhill Town Youth Football Club rally together to clean up Dean Bank Park
Members of Ferryhill Town Youth Football Club work together to clean up litter in Dean Bank Park.
The initiative led by Chelsea Hope who is the Chairperson for the club proved to be a success.
The Town Council assisted the club by providing litter picking equipment which they loaned from the Civic Pride Team at Durham County Council. This service is available for anyone wanting to get involved in litter picking initiatives throughout the Town with the aim of improving the Town and making Ferryhill a cleaner and better place to live and visit. The Town Council are happy to assist anyone who wishes to be involved in this initiative.
Leeanne Owens, Town Clerk for Ferryhill Town Council said “It was wonderful to see members of Ferryhill Town Youth Football Club getting involved and working together in Dean Bank Park. This not only shows the clubs pride in the area, but it also shows team work at its best and what can be achieved by working together. Well done to all involved.
