Tickets Still Available for Ferryhill’s Annual Senior Citizens Trip
There are still tickets left for the Annual Senior Citizens Bus Trip organised by Ferryhill Town Council. This year, the trip will take place on Thursday 24th July 2025. The destination will be Whitley Bay. Whitley Bay was chosen when the results of a questionnaire completed by people attending the 2024 bus trip demonstrated a preference to visit the seaside town in 2025.
Tickets are available from Ferryhill Town Hall to residents at a cost of £10 per ticket. This will be a flat rate for adults and children.
Coaches for the trip will meet in Ferryhill Market Place from 9.30am and will leave for Whitley Bay at 10am. Tickets must be shown prior to boarding the buses.
Coaches will leave Whitely Bay for the return journey to Ferryhill at 5.00pm and will drop off at various points on the main bus route around the Town.
Funding was sought from Supportive SRC Ltd. and Ferryhill Community Sport & Social Club who both contributed £200 each towards the cost of the coaches for the trip. Extra funding of £998 has now been received from Durham County Councillors Paul Mountford and Joe Quinn from their Small Grants/Neighbourhood Budgets. Ferryhill Town Council would like to thank all those who have given financial support.
