In 2019 Ferryhill Town Council hosted it’s first ever Spring Fun Fair, the event was organised in conjunction with two local fun fairs and was held in Ferryhill Market Place. The Fun Fair comprised of a range of fun rides and attractions suitable for all ages, it featured The Top Star ride which had never been to the Town before and has previously featured at the prestigious Edinburgh Hogmanay Street Fair and Newcastle Town Moor and rises 60ft into the air before turning brave riders upside down at a tremendous speed. Other rides included the Shuggy Boats, a favourite from yesteryear as well as The Frogs, T Cups, Juvenile Big Wheel, Bungee Trampolines, Super Jets, Giant Funtasia Fun House and the traditional Hook a Duck.
Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic this years Spring Fun Fair was unable to take place but the Council hopes the event will return in 2021, updates will be posted here and also on the Ferryhill Town Council Facebook Page.
