Ferryhill Town Council hold the Ferryhill in Bloom Competition annually and invite green fingered residents of Ferryhill to enter. Despite the current situation regarding Covid-19 this year’s competition went ahead, it was decided that the Competition could proceed safely and it would have been a shame not to recognise the enormous dedication that many of our residents have made in ensuring that their outside spaces are aesthetically pleasing.
The categories for this years Competition were: Front Garden, Back Garden, Back Yard and Commercial Properties. Residents were permitted to enter more than one category if appropriate.
Judging took place recently and residents have been notified. A presentation Evening is usually held to recognise the winners, however, due to Covid-19 restrictions we were unable to hold a presentation evening, instead winners were invited to the Town Hall for a socially distanced presentation where they received certificates and prizes from the Mayor of Ferryhill, Councillor Joe Makepeace.
