The Civic Awards are a perfect opportunity to officially recognise the commitment and hard work of the Town’s most deserving residents. Every year Ferryhill Town Council invites nominations for those unsung heroes, who contribute so much towards improving their local community.
Nominations have now been received for the 2020 Civic Awards.
Awards would normally be presented at an Awards Presentation Evening, however, due to Coronavirus it was not possible to host the event this year, instead winners were invited to the Town Hall to receive their certificates and prizes from the Mayor of Ferryhill, Councillor Joe Makepeace.
This year is the inaugural year for the Mayor’s Medal, which has been specially struck. The medal will provide a lasting momento for those who have received it, and who are all very worthy recipients. See below for a list of this years winners:

If you know a resident who has performed some act of kindness, or helped in some way to benefit others living in the Town, or carried out any action, which has achieved success in any field, then why not nominate them for a Civic Award. The Civic Awards are the perfect opportunity to officially recognise the commitment and hard work of the Town’s most deserving residents. Nominees must be unpaid for the work that they are being nominated for. Details of the 2021 Civic Awards will be advertised early next year on this website and on Ferryhill Town Council’s Facebook Page.
