Since launching its Members Initiative Fund (MIF) in April 2022, Ferryhill Town Council is pleased to announce that it has been able to support 19 local groups through the scheme. The latest group to benefit from the Fund is Endeavour Woodcrafts CIC, who recently attended a cheque presentation at Ferryhill Town Hall, where Councillors John and Bernie Lamb presented the group with a cheque for £450 from their MIF allocations.
Endeavour, who are a non-profit making organisation that offers a day service providing training and education for adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues in the art of woodwork design and crafts will use the monies donated, to refurbish the centre’s Craft and Social Area, giving it a much-needed facelift for the benefit of service users.
Councillors John and Bernie Lamb said ‘We are delighted to be able to support such a worthwhile organisation. Endeavour Woodcrafts CIC provides an invaluable service for vulnerable people in Ferryhill, and we are only too happy to support them.’
