Ferryhill Town Council is pleased to announce that the latest group to receive funding through its Members Initiative Fund scheme is Ferryhill Stage Society, who recently attended a presentation at Ferryhill Town Hall where Councillor Joe Makepeace presented representatives with a cheque for £350.
Established in 1938 the Ferryhill Stage Society have been entertaining audiences for over 80 years. Funding provided through the Members Initiative Fund will be used by the Society to cover costs associated with putting on a production of the popular musical ‘Legally Blonde.’
Councillor Makepeace said ‘I am delighted to be able to support such a worthwhile group. Ferryhill Stage Society have been thrilling audiences for decades, and it is a pleasure to be able to contribute towards their latest production.’
