Having now entered its second year Ferryhill Town Council’s Members Initiative Fund (MIF) is open for applications. The first group to receive a contribution from the new round of funding is Keers & Patterson Residents Association, who were presented
with a cheque for £100 by Councillor Peter Atkinson. Monies will be used to fund a party for residents of Joseph Patterson Crescent and William Keers Crescent, to celebrate the Coronation of HM King Charles III.
Councillor Peter Atkinson said ‘I am delighted to be able to support Keers & Patterson Residents Association by contributing monies from my MIF allocation, to help fund a party for residents of the Aged Miners Homes. Monies will enable the residents to celebrate the Coronation marking this momentous occasion in our history.’
