Mayor David Farry said “It was great to see a fantastic turn out for the Summer Gala. This is an Event that has proved very successful since it was moved back into the Market Place. I would like to think we could expand the event and make it even better next year. This event is one of several the Town Council are putting on to try and raise the profile of Ferryhill and attract visitors to our Town, which in turn will support our local businesses. I am over the moon to have raised £146 on my charity stall for this years chosen charities which are Chance Drama, Ferryhill Town Youth FC, Little Treasures, Mainsforth Cricket Club & The Rifles – Care for Casualties.”
